Joey Barton became antagonistic figure in the last week the Premier
League last season. He received a red card after kicking Manchester City
player, Carlos Tevez.
But Barton did not properly assess Tevez gets sympathy from the
public. Moreover, this Argentinean player had a chance to strike after falling
out with him manager, Roberto Mancini, last season.
“Tevez? He is a gold digger. It was the wrong thing in modern
football,” said Barton told the Times.
“You cannot support him. Past six months he was on strike, went to Argentina
to play golf and try to get a dismissal,” Barton added.
Because of the incident, Barton also received a suspension for 12
games. As a result, Queens Park Rangers away him to Olympique Marseille.
